k2kUSA is an advocacy campaign that empowers kids to connect with and advocate for each other to ensure a fair chance in life for every kid in America. Central to ensuring fairness for all kids is ending the childhood poverty crisis, which affects one in six kids in America.
Parents play an essential role in helping their children advocate for fairness for all kids.
For Parents with Kids Five and Older: Tips for teaching your kids about fairness.
For Parents with Kids Five and Younger: Parenting tips for raising younger children to be happy, healthy, and successful.
Teachers can do their part by helping their students understand what fairness for all kids means, including the effects of poverty. The American Federation of Teachers has developed a set of lesson plans to help children learn about the values that support fairness like compassion, courage, and responsibility for kids of all ages. Teachers can view the lessons plans here.
